Opening Career Opportunities Through Technology Skills in Alaska.

United Horizons Social Services is launching a new technology training initiative to help people in Alaska gain real job skills and better career opportunities.

Today, many jobs require digital skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. However, many people in our communities simply do not have access to training, computers, or professional certification programs that can help them compete in the modern workforce.

Our goal is to build a small but powerful training program where people can learn essential technology skills and earn recognized certifications that can lead to better employment opportunities.

One of the inspirations behind this project is Vlad Melnyk, an Alaska State Champion in Microsoft Office who recently represented Alaska at the U.S. National Microsoft Office Championship in Texas. Seeing how powerful these skills can be, we want to help more people gain the same opportunities.

Vlad has volunteered to teach these classes and share his knowledge with others who want to improve their career opportunities. His goal is to help people in Alaska gain practical technology skills that employers are looking for today.

Your support will help us:
• purchase computers for training
• provide Microsoft certification exam vouchers
• organize in-person and online classes
• create accessible technology education in Alaska
• support the growth of this nonprofit training program

Our first goal is to raise $10,000 to begin building this program and help the first group of participants gain valuable technology skills and certifications.
Your support will help launch a new technology training opportunity in Alaska and give people real skills for better jobs and stronger futures.
